This super easy peach butter ice cream recipe takes no time to mix and throw in the ice cream maker.
I love ice cream and am always looking for good recipes. The one below is one of my go-to recipes because I have everything needed to make it on hand, and there are very few dirty dishes.
Peach butter ice cream ingredients
Peach butter is the crucial ingredient in this recipe. It provides both the flavor and the sweetener. Peach butter is a cooked-down mixture of peaches and sugar.
I can my own it in the summer; if you don’t, you should consider doing so. Opening a jar smells like summer with a fresh peach scent. I use this recipe from Ball. However, I leave out the ginger. Peach butter is also excellent mixed into yogurt or in cookie crumble bars.
Heavy cream provides the fat and body in this recipe; there really is no substitute.
Whole milk fills out the recipe. You can use a lower fat milk if you prefer; know that it will result in a harder, more icy texture.
Vanilla is technically optional, but it brings out the flavor of the peaches and cream.
Mix it up
Add mix-ins: Crystallized ginger or ginger snaps add a great spice to the sweet ice cream. You could also consider swirling in some peach jam and granola. Layer add-in with the ice cream when moving from the machine to the freezing container.
Add fruit: Add more peaches or a fruit that pairs well, such as raspberries. These should also be layered in when adding to the freezing container.
Change the extract: Consider switching the vanilla out for bourbon or maybe even cake extract to change the flavor profile.

Before starting this recipe, it is essential to be familiar with your ice cream maker and how it works. There are two main types of at-home ice cream makers: Ones that require you to freeze your bowl in advance and ones that work with an air compressor. If your ice cream maker requires you to freeze the bowl, make sure that you have frozen the bowl in advance. If you have the room you can leave the bowl in your freezer so that you can make ice cream any time you want.
My ice cream maker works with an air compressor, meaning I can make ice cream with no prep. This type of machine is a greater initial investment, but it is very convenient if you make ice cream regularly.

- 2 cups peach butter
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 2 tsp vanilla
Instructions
- Whisk all ingredients together until combined
- Add to ice cream maker and freeze according to manufacturers directions
- Transfer to a freezer safe container and freeze for at least two hours
